Please do not book without reading and approving all of our policies! We know rules are no fun, but boundaries are healthy! If you don’t agree to our pre-care and policies, your appointment may be cancelled and you may lose your deposit, so please be respectful of our time and processes in the following ways:

  • RESULTS: Healed results vary due to the organic nature of skin. Results are never guaranteed, and additional sessions (priced accordingly) or makeup may be needed to achieve your desired look. SAGE recommends clients to prepare by reading the pre-booking and aftercare guidelines, as well as read our FAQ for optimal results.

  • COVER-UPS + CORRECTIONS: If you’ve had work done in the desired treatment area by another artist, (even if it’s old or faded) please email a photo for pre-approval. If you book without doing so, and your submitted photo shows us it’s not workable, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit (less a $50 booking fee) refunded. We offer free email consultations and a lightening/removal service to avoid this.

  • REFRESHES: To book a refresh, your most recent session must have been done at SAGE within the past 5 years. We recommend this service every 3-5 years, or when your tattoo is at least 50% faded. If your artist is no longer at SAGE, you may book with Jillian. If you’re not a returning customer, you’ll be charged full price or your appointment cancelled.

  • PREGNANCY + NURSING: We legally cannot tattoo you while you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant between sessions, we will have to cancel your appointment, and you must wait until 3 months post-pardum & post nursing.

  • FOLLOW-UPS: If you skip your follow-up session, or fail to re-book it within 12 weeks, you may be charged a deposit of $150 to book a new one.

  • RESCHEDULING: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you’d like to reschedule, you may do so ONCE before the 72 hour window. If it is less than 72 hours, you will need a new deposit to rebook at a later date, as your deposit then serves as a cancellation fee. If you are sick, please stay home and reschedule.

  • CANCELLATION: If you decide to cancel your appointment for any reason, even with more than 72 hours notice, you will forfeit your deposit.

  • LATE POLICY: Please call to say you’re running late! Having to rush compromises the quality of our work and your results, and affects our other commitments. If you are 15+ minutes late or miss your appointment, we won’t be able to accommodate you. Your procedure will be cancelled and your deposit will serve as a no show or cancellation fee. This means you’ll need a new deposit to book again.

  • 18+ ONLY: You must present a valid photo ID to be tattooed. Please don’t bring children with you, as it is not a safe or supervised environment for them, and can distract the artist. If you can’t find care for your child in advance, please reschedule before the 72 hour window.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service, and will ask you to leave if you are in any way disrespectful to your artist.
